Body Massage
Based on the Swedish style of massage, this works directly and deeply on the main muscle groups. A whole body treatment, but can be used for a particular area (usually the back).
Excellent for relaxation, stress relief and general muscle tightness.
30 minute focused treatment, usually neck, shoulders, scalp and back, but can target any troublesome area.
60 minute full body, legs, arms, neck, shoulders and back. The traditional full body treatment, but can be tailored to your requirements.
60 minute upper body, neck, shoulders, scalp and back. Really popular with people who slave over a computer all day.
90 minute full body. By popular demand a longer full body treatment that allows more work on all areas.
Sports and Remedial Massage
Using much the same techniques as Body Massage, but applied with more knowledge of the function and interaction of muscles. May also include postural assessment, assisted stretches during the treatment and prescribed stretches to be done between treatments.
Suitable for any muscular aches and stiffness whether it is postural, sports related or injury rehabilitation.
Treatments will usually last between 40-60 minutes.
Indian Head Massage
Based on traditional Indian techniques going back thousands of years this is one of todays most popular treatments.
Focusing on the areas where most of us feel tightest - the shoulders, neck, scalp and forehead - this is a real stess-buster! Depending on your requirements this treatment can be deeply relaxing or very invigorating. It can also be used to work deeply into any particularly troublesome spots.
Treatments last between 25-30 minutes.
On Site Acupressure Massage
Developed for use in the workplace this treatment is both relaxing and revitalising.
Combining Japanese Acupressure Massage and Western techniques it mixes focused point work, to get the bodies natural energies flowing freely, with wonderful stretches to loosen tight muscles. Concentrating on the shoulders, neck, back, arms and hands this is a complete upper body workout!
Treatment lasts between 25-30 minutes.
LaStone Therapy
LaStone Therapy combines water heated Basalt Lava Stones, frozen marble stones, traditional massage, and hot oil to warm, work and invigorate. The treatment can be specific for isolated areas of injury or full body to experience the total 'mind, body and spirit' benefits.
Using the warmth and energy of the 'hot' lava stones with the cool and clearing influence from the frozen marble stones enables the practioner to work individual areas of the body whilst still giving continuous total body heat and relaxation. Stones are laid on the couch for you to lie on, placed on the body to envelop you in warmth and given to you to for comfort and connection - there are even small stones to warm between your toes! The result is a feeling of warmth and healing from many 'pairs of hands' creating a deep meditative state.
Usually only available in the top spas and health clubs, this unique treatment can now be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
Treatment lasts 60 or 90 minutes.
Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy consisting of gentle rolling movements over specific points on the body. These are a mixture of acupuncture points, muscular trigger release points and energy centres.
The most striking point about the Bowen Technique is that between every set of moves the therapist leaves the room for up to five minutes. This is to allow the body time to react o the moves just made.
This is a vastly different therapy to remedial/sports massage, but can be hugely effective in cases that massage doesn't help.
